O'Halloran Hill

As with many growing families this young couple, in search of extra space, faced the choice of moving or extending. The existing dwelling had served them well, being well organised and with large well lit rooms, whilst the cost of moving was also a consideration.

Dawley Project’s clever solution involved converting the former carport and pergola area into a new living room and parents retreat, with a new carport located closer to the street.

As the extension would be viewed from the street the design aesthetic needed to complement the strong lines of the exiting 1980’s dwelling. With the project now completed, to the casual passer-by not much appears to have changed, but a vote of confidence in the new extension is its ability to “fit in”.
